Unveiling of “Historic Perth Amboy” Welcome Signs

WHO -  Perth Amboy Mayor Wilda Diaz and John Bolton, General Business Manager of Chevron’s Perth Amboy facility, will unveil the new style of Perth Amboy welcome sign Thursday, June 4th at 11 a.m.

WHERE -  The event will occur on the south corner of State Street and Maurer Road in Perth Amboy.

WHEN -  The event will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 4th.

WHAT -  Perth Amboy will install 125 new welcome signs throughout entrances to the city, as well as new signage for parking, pedestrian information and orientation maps consistent with the new look. The first sign in the new design is replacing an existing welcome sign on the south corner of State Street and Maurer Road.  Chevron donated about $3,000 for the installation of the sign and the decorative landscaping around it. The Royal Garden Club by the Bay provided guidance on plant species for the sign location.
