The Assessor of the City of Perth Amboy is responsible for assessing the value on all properties, including new and improved structures, in the City for tax purposes and is responsible for the administration of tax appeals. The Assessor is a statutory position and must meet the requirements for State certification pursuant to N.J.S.A. 54:1-35.25, N.J.S.A. 40A9-146, N.J.S.A. 40A9-148.
