The Department of Code Enforcement is responsible for enforcing all Uniform Construction Code, Uniform Fire Code, Property Maintenance, Sanitation and Zoning Regulations.  This department is responsible for the issuance of all building permits, zoning approvals, and fire permits and certificates.  Also, this department is responsible for the issuance of Certificate of Code Compliance for the sale of all properties or the leasing of all commercials or industrial properties.  The Division of zoning within this department serves as the administrative office to both the Planning and Zoning Boards.
