THE FOLLOWING BOARDS HAVE VACANCIES AND/OR TERMS WHICH WILL EXPIRE ON DECEMBER 31, 2018:

Arts Council

  • Council Member - 2 Year Term
  • At Large Member - 2 Year Term
  • Dept. of Recreation Rep. - 1 Year Term


Zoning Board of Adjustment

  • 4 Regular Members - 4 Year Term
  • 2 Alternates - 2 Year Term


Green Team

  • 9 Vacancies - 3 Year Term

Historic Preservation

  • 10 Regular Members - 4 Year Term
  • 2 Alternates - 2 Year Term


Housing Authority

  • 1 Regular Member - 5 Year Term

Library Board

  • 3 Regular Members - 5 Year Term


Planning Board

Rent Leveling Board

Some key responsibilities include: consistent attendance at regular board meetings; participation at the meetings as an active member, participation in the general activities of the organization and preparation in advance before regular board meetings by reading and studying materials regarding key actions the board may take at the official meeting.

Residents interested in becoming members of a specific board must complete and return the Citizen Service Application to the Office of the Municipal Clerk, City Hall, 260 High Street, Perth Amboy.  The application is available on the city’s website: http://ci.perthamboy.nj.us/pdf/cityclerk/App_Citizen_Service.pdf
